Zagreb, 21 July 2006 Today, with the beginning at 12 noon, Animal Friends Croatia held the first Day of Fighting Animal Experiments, thus marking the anniversary of rescuing 32 beagles from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb. About 80 protesters gathered from Zagreb, Pula, Split, Varazdin, and Krizevci on a protest that started in front of Pliva, that is the main entrance to GlaxoSmithKline company, and continued through Zagrebacka ulica and Ilica all the way to the main square in Zagreb.
