The Only Animal Shelter In Afghanistan Facing Eviction - April 2012 - a shelter for strays set up by marines in Afghanistan. The shelter is being closed down by the authorities and they are trying to raise funds to build a new shelter. They need all the help they can get.

May 22, 2009 - Soldiers Stop Dog Fight

"In November 2008 a patrol from the British Army in Southern Afghanistan discovered an organised dog fight with locals betting on the outcome. The soliders decided to end the dog fighting event. Action was taken and 6 dogs were rescued. We want it to be known that we will not stand by and allow animal abuse."
