TWELVE animal rights activists who held a rooftop protest at a Somerville egg factory have each been fined $1000.

The protestors from Animal Liberation Victoria, who pleaded not guilty at Frankston Magistrate's Court, were arrested at Somerville Egg Farm on May 4, 2011 after owners called police.
