The RSPCA in South Australia says other more extreme animal rights
groups are trying to take over the organisation.
The RSPCA says members with allegiances to animal liberation
organisations are nominating for the forthcoming board elections.
The RSPCA's Aimee McKay says the organisation is worried that after
the elections it could become a more hostile and radical group.
"They have been known to use methods that are both unlawful and
unethical and that's not how the RSPCA should be run," she said.
