A North Vancouver small business owner received an unwelcome Thanksgiving surprise when someone apparently connected to militant animal activism vandalized his house.

Eugene Klein, owner of home-based Capilano Furs, woke Sunday morning to find the car outside his Delbrook Avenue residence covered in black
 paint and its tires slashed. The perpetrators had also painted the front step of his home.
