India: Anti-cow slaughter bill passed amidst bedlam
Punishment: For slaughtering cattle -- imprisonment of one year to seven years,

BANGALORE: If the anti-cow slaughter bill gets governor H R Bhardwaj's assent,
then beef will disappear from Karnataka. It would mean people can't procure from
outside and store it in their homes either(...)
WHAT DOES THE BILL SAY?
It prohibits slaughter of cattle, sale, usage and possession of beef, puts
restriction on transport of cattle and also prohibits sale, purchase or disposal
of cattle for slaughter. Violation of any of these is a cognizable and non-bailable
offence.....
