Activists demand protection for Moscow stray dogs

MOSCOW - Animal rights activists are urging the Russian president to kill a plan by Moscow authorities to send thousands of stray dogs to an isolation facility outside the city.
Some 50 activists lined up Wednesday outside the presidential administration building to submit signed appeals to President Dmitry Medvedev denouncing the move.
