Fur Free Friday in Belgrade

Freedom for Animals Society (www.sloboda-za-zivotinje.org) accompanied with Stani-Pani Kolektiv (http://www.stanipanikolektiv.com) have organized first peaceful anti-fur protest in Belgrade, related with Fur-free Friday. The protest itself was organized as a two hour long walk thru the centre of Belgrade, with everyone wearing posters and transparents, providing flyers and miniposters for press and everyone interested. Many of those who walked by have shown positive attitude towards this, thus making fur-wearing women embarrassed. We are happy that no incidents have occurred during this protest. Action coordinator has been interviewed by a very influent local radio station Beograd 202, which has also invited fellow citizens to join this protest walk. As we have provided numerous flyers, we consider fur-free Friday protest a very good opportunity to introduce a true meaning of fur to everyone being blind on animal suffering.

Regards,

Action coordinator, Olivera Stojkovic

PS. Please inform me if you publish this. It would mean much to all of us.

Your mother wears my mother's fur. Save me, don't wear fur.

Don't let your heart turn to ice. Don't wear fur.

Three good reasons not to wear fur. Millions of others good reasons expect that from you.

Get to know me well. I am not a fur coat. Say no to fur.
