The Göteborgs-Posten has reported that Charlotte Alfredsson, the owner of Fiorucci, a store in Gothenburg that sells fur items, has received threats in the mail.

According to police, the store has been vandalized on at least five occasions in the past. The store's windows remained cracked and held together with tape. "It makes no sense to repair them any longer," Alfredsson told the newspaper.

Over 200,000 fish were freed when saboteurs cut nets at two fish farms owned by Fiskeman AB in Gallejaure (V�sterbotten) and Miekojarvi (Norrbotten), in northern Sweden. The fish-- trout and rainbow trout-- were to be killed this week after being confined for three years. A boat motor and a tractor were also vandalized. The sabotage was discovered on Monday morning, August 16.

"We have lost many, many millions of kronors," Mikael Granstr�m, Fiskeman AB's owner, told local media.

According to djurensbefrielsefront.com, the biggest ever liberation of hens in Sweden happened on May 16, when 214 hens were liberated from the battery farm Lommarps Lant�gg, where thousands of hens are kept in two windowless sheds. The activists write, "This action was carefully planned and carried out, despite the large number of animals, in less than an hour. The activists entered through an unlocked door, took the hens from cages and quickly brought them to their new homes."

During the night of April 19, the Djurens Befrielsefront freed 32 rabbits from cages at a farm in Synnerby, outside Skara. It was the second visit to this farm. In May 2004, 133 rabbits were rescued. The rabbits were living in appalling conditions.

Efter att kaninerna, hanar och honor med ungar f�rsiktigt packats ner i specialtillverkade l�dor flyttades de till sina nya hem d�r livet som kanin nu �ntligen kan b�rja. Inga kaniner sl�pptes ut i det vilda utan alla omplacerades p� en g�rd med stora volj�rer d�r de gradvis kan anpassa sig till det nya livet. Efter ett par veckor kommer de b�rja gr�va h�lor och de bygger redan bo f�r sina sm� ungar. Kaniner har fortfarande, trots intensiv avel kvar sina naturliga instinkter som de �ntligen kan f� utlopp f�r!

Vi Vill g�ra klart f�r Stefan Rotkirk och alla andra som f�der upp kaniner, oavsett om det �r f�r p�ls, k�tt eller n�got annat meningsl�st syfte att vi kommer att komma tillbaks f�r resten av djuren.

V�sterbottens-Kuriren newspaper has reported that a building under construction at Ume� University that will house an animal research laboratory was damaged by fire early on Saturday, April 3.

Police believe the fire was intentionally set. A window on the first floor was broken and petrol poured on the floor.

Lund, Sweden - Scandinavian Sportsmen is a local clothing store selling a lot of fur. Lately the store has been spray painted on a number of occasions and on New Years Eve activists smashed five large windows on the building, and added some more paint. Hopefully the director, Maud Westerberg, will eventually be convinced that trying to make profit from other individuals suffering is really not a good idea!
