June 28, 2009 -- Locks Glued at Chicken Restaurants, Feed Supplier

"Last night, we glued shut the locks of Ralco Nutrition (W Main Street, downtown), Kentucky Fried Chicken (1109 East Main), and Chicken Connection (600 E Main) of Marshall, MN. The dollars and cents they will have to pay to fix what we've done is nothing compared to the abuse of non-human animals these targets support.

The practice of packing thousands upon thousands chickens into cages so small they cannot turn around (which all three targets profit from) has gone on for too long. Cutting of chickens' sensitive beaks without painkillers (to prevent them from pecking each other due to such tight packing), supported by Kentucky Fried Chicken, is unacceptable. The gross mistreatment of turkeys, cows, and pigs at slaughter--where they are killed by high voltage shocks or by slowly draining the blood out of slits in their necks--then dropped into vats of caustic chemicals while sometimes still conscious, that Ralco Nutrition profits from, must end.

They sell their 'feed' and their 'food', they collect their money, and the world keeps going. Out of sight, the animals they exploit suffer until they are killed, and no one does anything about it. We are doing something about it. By gluing the locks of these companies, we have taken a small action on the behalf of the animals who cannot defend themselves.

Nicholas Ungar Furs (1137 SW Yamhill) is the last remaining fur shop in downtown Portland, Oregon.

The "SHAC 7" are 6 activists and a corporation, Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty USA Inc., who were found guilty of multiple felonies for their alleged role in campaigning to close down the notorious animal testing lab, Huntingdon Life Sciences. Three are currently in federal prison. At the end of the day, even short messages help to remind prisoners of the large number of supporters they have on the outside, and the great efforts for the animals so many others continue to take across the globe.

Please write often and think about organizing a prisoner letter writing night in your area. And don't forget the other animal liberation prisoners out there!

Federal prisoners are permitted to receive a very small variety of items from "the outside". Inmates are allowed to receive an unlimited number of cards, letters, and photographs (but no Polaroids) from anyone. They may also receive an unlimited number of magazines and periodicals, but these must come directly from the publisher (i.e. by way of a subscription directly to the prisoner); magazines and periodicals sent from anyone other than the publisher will be refused. Inmates are not permitted to receive any publication that contains material of a sexual nature.

Please write the defendants in prison! They would love to hear from you and need the support. A couple of things to remember:
' All mail is opened and read by prison officials.
' Do not discuss the specifics of the case. All of the SHAC 7 defendants are appealing their convictions and, as such, they all still retain their Fifth Amendment rights to protect them in the event they are granted a new trial.

Also, please consider donating to the SHAC 7 Support Fund. Money is being accepted to put towards prisoner's commissary accounts and to aid with legal fees where needed. "On the night of March 6th into the morning of March 7th, 2009 an ALF cell carried out an attack against a rabbit breeder in Hematite, Missouri. We freed one Female Rabbit as our actions were interrupted by the family dog. We would like to thank the target for making it so easy to liberate these cute, wonderful, innocent animals. We didn't even need to use our bolt cutters to open the cages. We did free their only female rabbit though we know it may not have stopped their slave trade, it serves as a warning that we WILL be back for the rest. Mining in the Santa Ritas would threaten numerous species, plants and sensitive wild areas. Mining for copper to build solar panels is a false solution and unacceptable. The Santa Ritas are part of the Sky Island Region a Biological Hotspot home to 404 bird species, 117 reptile species, 26 amphibian species, thousands of plant species. A number of these species are endemic to this region. The Santa Ritas should never be home to a mine.

Dear Kathy destroying the land of wild animals and plants for more ingredients of a larger Infrastructure nightmare is no way to live. You should know that our environment is no place for you to hold your twisted affairs! We slashed your tire so that maybe you will think of the Mountain Lions and Black Bears that live where you want to build a mine. We bet the etching cream on the window of your house will leave a lasting impression of our visit. Maybe the cost of replacing it will make you think twice about the lasting irreplaceable costs your companies proposed mine would inflict on the Santa Ritas.

Here is how we do it:

While you shop at any store that sells magazines, look around the floor of the magazine section and you will see subscription cards (they look like post cards).

Gather up the ones you see and put them in your pocket.

If you are more daring just open up some magazines and a few should fall out.

Try to gather as many different varieties as you can.

Now take them to your home or a park and seperate them by magazine.

Find your 'friends' details, and start filling out a card from each pile.

Once you are done filling out the info for that 'friend' move onto another friend and continue until all cards are gone. If you only have a few friends, you can try giving them nicknames. Charlie may be Chuck, you wouldn't want your friend to miss a magazine just because you sent it to Charlie and not Chuck.

That's it. They should start receiving magazines within the next 2-4 weeks.

Why it works? The magazines will start coming in every week to every month. If your friend doesn't stop the subscriptions it will charge them. They will be billed and will have to argue that bill isn't valid. Which takes time and even a little money sometimes. When a friend receives hundreds of magazines they have no more time to sit and sort through false bills. They will either have to just pay the bills or hire a person to sort through them. Often times a magazine company will charge the person for the first issue even if they cancel their subscriptions, some even charge a small cancellation fee. This is both time and cost consuming, this is why it works."

In Fresno, CA, for the second time in a week, all the locks on a Carl's JR. Fast Food outlet were superglued. These actions were quiet, quick, and incredibly easy to pull off.

February 17, 2009 -- Booby-Trapped Letters Sent to Vivisectors

"Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC currently imprisons and inflicts violence upon over 1,300 non-human primates. Recently, they made the choice to accept the transfer of over 300 non-human primates from the University of California-Los Angeles.

After years and years and years of pleading, protest, letter writing, civil disobedience, these institutions and individuals still don't get it. They continue to oppress and kill innocent and intelligent beings.

The Justice Department has had enough of waiting and pleading while the animals suffer and die in agony.

On behalf of the animals, we mailed razor blades covered in rat poison to some Wake Forest primate murderers.

"Those UCLA vans aren't as easy to find as they were. While down south doing some homework on the night of Monday Feb 2nd we happen to notice one parked on side street in the town of San Clemente. The opportunity was seized and we applied some paint stripper. We wanted to leave the van driveable because we also stashed a small suprise underneath. Did you find it? Be careful.

As he left his car parked in a garage on campus, he was whistling and had no idea he had been followed. We preceded to vandalize his shiny new Audi, paid for with blood money. January 12, 2009 -- Devices Mailed to Primate Researchers

"The California National Primate Research Center, associated with UC Davis, currently imprisons and experiments on over 4,700 non-human primates. This alone is enough to force us into action. These animals are subjects of pure torture. They are forced to inhale deadly toxins; subject to studies of chronic stress. They are subject to painful reproductive experiments, and have their babies stolen from them as they cry in agony.

We are the Revolutionary Cells Animal Liberation Brigade and we could not stand by and let the atrocities continue.
We chose two primate vivisectors and mailed them letter-bombs.

These individuals are Edward Schelegle at 3220 Oyster Bay Ave in Davis. Schelegle tortures intelligent primates in painful respiratory experiments that bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars for him and the university.
