WHY ARE WE PROTESTING FUR IN
85 degree TEMPERATURES?
BECAUSE OF HER.....
BECAUSE OF ALL THE OTHERS LIKE HER.....
BECAUSE WE MUST STOP THE KILLING!
For the animals imprisoned on fur farms, quietly going insane in their cages as they wait for the executioners gloved hand on their necks, it doesn't matter what season it is. They wait in despair. They have no hope. Their deaths by gassing, neck breaking or anal electrocution are inevitable. That is why we must never let up the pressure on the fur industry.
Consequently, activists will be on the streets of mid-town Manhattan again this spring and summer. They will put up with the snarky remarks of those that don't understand that although the display windows are not emblazoned with the skins of dead animal corpses......they will be very soon. TOO SOON. Take action before it turns cold and the fashionistas start trotting out their ghoulish wardbrobe.
This weekend marks another global weekend of action against Escada. Please join us at:
Date/Time: Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 3:00 PM
Place: 715 Fifth Ave. (between 55th & 56th Streets)
Target: ESCADA & OTHER FUR MONGERS
Note: Posters, banners and flyers will be provided. Just bring yourself, your passion and a loud voice to speak out for the suffering animals. If you are artistic and would prefer, feel free to bring your own sign. We will start at the Escada store on Fifth Avenue between 55th & 56th and then move to other locations in the immediate area. Protests will be peaceful and legal and we will be in total compliance with all local ordinances. If you have any question about this, please feel free to contact us, as there has been much misinformation disseminated about our protests and activities.
If you cannot join the protests, please contact ESCADA at:
ESCADA USA Headquarters
ESCADA New York City
ESCADA - Manhasset
Ask ESCADA to do the right thing. Ask them to choose compassion over hate and violence. Ask them to pledge to go fur free immediately. Activists have pledged to make the streets of New York City a battleground if they do not.
(Phone calls to the New York City store on Saturday during the demonstration would be awesome & appreciated!)
