UCLA Vivisector's Auto Burned by Animal Liberation Activists
Targeting Mainstream Activists Having Predicted Effect on Tactics Used to Free Imprisoned Primates
Los Angeles, CA: In an anonymous communiqué received by the Press Office this week, Students and Workers for the Liberation of UCLA Primates claim to have burned an automobile belonging to primate vivisector Goran Lacan. UCLA confirms the destruction of two vehicles, but in deceptive and dishonest wording, their press release states the vehicles destroyed were not in front of Lacan's home and therefore were not his. University flaks also try to portray Lacan as a "former" primate vivisector, ignoring publications both this year and last in which he principally authored studies detailing the torture and murder of vervet monkeys and lemurs.
The current communiqué reads, in part:
The holidays are coming up and Santa was checking his list twice to see whose been naughty or nice. The name Goran Lacan caught Santa's eye as having done abominable things to small monkeys inside the labs at UCLA. Santa had his elf or in this case, alf, check Lacan's department lab records.
Santa discovered that Goran Lacan studied human eating disorders like anorexia and obesity in vervet monkeys by implanting electrodes into their skulls and backs and invoking painful stimuli. After a long period of time, he killed them. So early November 20th when Santa was out delivering pieces of coal to those who were naughty, one of his stops was Goran Lacan's house at XXXX Greenfield Avenue in Los Angeles.
When Santa went into his knapsack to pull out his last piece of coal he discovered that there wasn't any left, just a lone incendiary device. Santa thought this was the perfect gift to give a monster like Lacan and placed it under his car.

Press Officer Dr. Jerry Vlasak, a medical doctor and former vivisector, is not surprised at UCLA's attempt to deceive their students and the public. "These are typical lies and deception that UCLA and other apologists for animal abuse trot out to hide their complicity in the unnecessary imprisonment, torture and killing of non-human animals. As they continue to throw away scarce medical research funding on antiquated and largely useless animal experimentation, other centers continue to utilize modern medical techniques that are far more likely to result in cures for human patients like those I and other clinicians treat daily."
Combined with additional acts of sabotage at UC campuses in Berkeley, San Francisco and Santa Cruz, activists appear to be responding to years of unsuccessful attempts at dialogue with school officials by mainstream activists, who are now themselves being imprisoned using unethical legal attacks. A Los Angeles protester faces sentencing next month for purportedly violating a UCLA-obtained restraining order in which she was neither named nor made aware of, simply for distributing flyers decrying the imprisonment and murder of non-human primates.
Vivisection, or experimentation on animals, is not only an evil that is perpetrated on millions of innocent animals, but is also scientifically fraudulent. While 20,000 children worldwide die every month from the effects of unclean water, vivisectors in University of California laboratories are wasting money addicting primates to crystal methamphetamines, gluing coils to the globes of their eyes and doing other inhumane and painful experiments on other species of animals, including cats, dogs, pigs, mice and birds. In a civilized society, and with better alternatives to animal experimentation, US academia should be on the fore-front of good, solid, non-animal-based research that could save the lives of children and adults alike. Instead, greedy "scientists" continue business as usual by mutilating non-human animals; it seems that until they begin doing ethical and scientifically-valid non-animal research, vivisectors will continue to be a target for those who are moral, courageous and heroic.
