Animal rights advocates gathered outside the Pembroke Pines subdivision of the president of a controversial South Florida research facility Sunday afternoon. They waved signs and told passers by about the disturbing photos leaked from Primate Products, the embattled facility run by Donald Bradford.
In addition to the 30 or so protesters, there were also several members of the Pembroke Pines police department present, presumably to keep the demonstration peaceful. While one man -- protesters described him as a plain-clothes cop -- leaned in the window of a squad car, having a conversation with two uniformed officers, he decided to bare his backside to the activists.
