Extortion -(yawn)- We hear it all
the time
Here's an answer to an extortion
attempt found on a myspace web page by "Robert"
First let me tell you about Robert. This is what he wrote in his
profile:

"About me: I HAVE RECENTLY ACQUIRED A RABBIT AND HAVE
DECIDED TO EAT HIM. A FRIEND OF MINE SAID THAT THIS WAS CRUEL. I
TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD DELAY EATING FLUFFY UNTIL MARCH 1ST TO SEE IF
PEOPLE REALLY CARE ABOUT RABBITS.
Who I'd like to meet: IF YOU DON'T
WANT THIS RABBIT TO DIE, MAKE A DONATION TO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT. IF
THE GOAL OF $1000 IS REACHED, I WILL GIVE FLUFFY UP FOR ADOPTION
INSTEAD OF EATING HIM." |
Fluffy is a nice looking domestic rabbit, I believe to be a lop.
Most people think I am just a cat. What they do
not know is I am really SuperCat! I have powers beyond what any
human animal has. I did some investigating. I know all about Robert
(or shall I say "Robert") and where he lives. "Robert" was not hard
to find. Here is my proposal: I WANT $10,000.00 OR ROBERT DIES!!!
Someone out there has to have a soft spot for Robert. Someone out
there must want to see him live. So you better pay up. How much is
his life worth to you? Let me clarify...I do not personally want the
money. I want you to make a donation in Fluffy's name to any Animal
Rights or welfare Org., spay and neuter assistance program, humane
education org., no-kill animal shelter, or to a vet for the use of
providing assistance with a spay or neuter for someone who cannot
afford it. Have whoever you donate to message me thru myspace with
the details of the donation (I do not need your personal info), or
you message me and I will contact them and verify it. THE DONATION
MUST BE IN FLUFFY'S NAME, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! IT IS TIME TO FIGHT BACK,
BITE BACK!!! EVERY DAY PEOPLE FIND MORE SICK WAYS TO ABUSE AND
EXPLOIT ANIMALS. PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE, OR WE ARE GOING TO
START PICKING BACK!!!
