A Tonkean macaque is removed from its cage at a small zoo located in a hotel compound during a rescue operation by animal activists in Makassar, south Sulawesi on September 1, 2004.
Activists removed numerous animals including monkeys and an
endangered sun bear from the hotel and brought them to an animal quarantine
shelter.
