Victoria presents live from an animal research laboratory which undertakes research into the causes of diseases such as diabetes, Alzheimer's and obesity. Scientists at the lab create their own mice through a type of IVF procedure which involves altering their DNA to give them these diseases. The laboratory has fifty thousand mice and several thousand are culled each week. We'll be looking at how the mice are created, the work that goes into finding treatments for those conditions as well as discussing the morality of animal experimentation.
