On Saturday, Aug 30, 2008 7pm, Rachendra Pachauri, Nobel peace winner in 2007 and head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will talk about the impact of meat consumption on global warming. Accoring to FAO, the production of meat is responsible for 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Hence, it is high time to put this topic even higher on the agenda! It will be the first time Dr. Pachauri will extensively address this issue.
