Ed. Note: Many cat owners are offended by this
global attack on cats. Unfortunately, some become defensive and illogical.
Rather than discuss the issue, they state that humans are worse predators
and therefore shouldn't "point fingers". That side-steps the point which is
that cat owners could/should do more to entertain their cats instead of
letting them get their entertainment killing. Many "outdoor" cats have
become happy indoor cats. I spend more than an hour daily playing with my
cat (which was a stray), and provide him with various toys. He prefers to
stay indoors. Cat owners who make no attempt to curtail, or simply deny,
their cat's recreational killing are culpable. Arguing that killing is
natural is like arguing that rape is natural. What is 'natural' (see logical
fallacy
Appeal to Nature) is an unacceptable argument if it infringes on anyone
else's rights.
