BOSTON, Mass. (AP) - Animal rights activists are planning to rally at the
Massachusetts Statehouse to push for bills they say will strengthen
protections for farm animals and pets.
One priority for the activists
is a bill called the "Act to Protect Puppies and Kittens."
would prohibit the sale of cats and dogs under eight weeks, give families
better options if they purchase sick puppies and allow for regulations to
prevent irresponsible breeding.
