Operation: Put a Little Love in Your Heart

WAR Returns to the Hack Line on Sunday

The picture above is just one of the things we witness every weekend as we stand up for New York City's carriage horses. The drivers are either ignorant of horse anatomy or they simply don't care. Witness this driver cruelly pulling on the harsh bit, clearly hurting this horse. We see this every time we are there. For this reason, we have decided to continue Operation: Put a Little Love in Your Heart beyond the Valentine's Day holiday.

Despite all that we have witnessed and documented, they continue to lie, telling everyone that they love their horses and that they take good care of them. If that is the case, why is it that we were able to get this picture?

Win Animal Rights is committed to shutting down this cruel and exploitive business. If this picture disturbs you as much as it does us, please join us on Sunday at the hack line. We need to have a good showing because the more we cost them in business, the more aggressive they become toward us.

If you do not live close by, then please take action as suggested below.

Please visit this page where you can keep up with the latest carriage horse news and events and where you can share, news, stories, videos and pictures that relate to the carriage horse industry. Learn the truth about the inherent cruelty in working horses on city streets.

And please don't forget that if you are in the greater NYC area, you can join us this Sunday as we continue our street campaign on behalf of the NYC Carriage Horses.

Here are the details:

Protest: Sunday, February 27, 2011 @ 2:00 pm
Where: 59th St. & 5th Avenue
New York City's Grand Army Plaza

Action Needed:

Visit the Carriage Horse Cruelty Facebook page and "Like" it and "Share" it. Please post to our wall, add relevant photos and videos. We are hoping to build an active and dynamic advocacy community. Remember, the Carriage Horse people are watching to see how many fans we can get in the early days of the page. Let's show them how much support there is for banning carriage horse cruelty in New York and everywhere else.
