During the Stations of the Cross yesterday, tears hit when we read, "He
was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is
silent, so he did not open his mouth." A reminder that our Savior's
suffering is compared in Scripture to animal suffering. I also thought of
Wes William's reflections on the stations related to animal suffering: Peace to you this Holy Saturday and may the joy of the resurrection be
yours.
