And God Gave Them Dominion…

There is an inherent danger in all religion which is the surrender of critical thought. It’s called “faith” — a concept bereft of logic or reason; perhaps an opiate for a painful reality; an idea so flawed that questioning it results in death in many corners of the world. Any and all religions that vest omniscience in a single individual — human or god — are dangerous and antithetical to common sense.

People do inexplicable things in the name of religion. Some hack away at the genitals of their newborn children in the name of faith. Some surrender their lives for a mythological deity and the promise of 72 virgins, as well as permission to get laid, in an afterlife. Some of the more bland adherents to sacred doctrine symbolically consume the body and blood of a christ. The licenses for genocide, slavery, racism and the wholesale slaughter of non-human individuals are all there in the bible. And inextricably woven into the fabric of every major religion are a patriarchal hierarchy and misogyny as virtue. It stands to reason that when frustrated patriarchs write the rules, women become the instruments of evil.

And, clearly, religion serves a much greater purpose for society — it maintains social order by requiring total compliance through manipulation of deeply-ingrained fears. Religion holds the absolute answers about life and death.

But let’s examine the impact of religion on the non-human individuals at the mercy of a society of arrogant and ignorant humans. The bible is an astounding text of savagery, packaged & sold as an instrument of peace. It’s like a Jerry Springer episode — 45 or 50 minutes of wallowing in human degradation, nicely packaged at the end with a 30-second commentary about moral integrity.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26) — the single most-regurgitated verse in arguing for the confinement, rape, mutilation and murder of sentient life.

The cornerstone of the Judeo-Christian ethic, Easter/Pass Over, is a monument to sadism, thanks to the architects of the most warped document know to mankind — the holy bible. Exodus required the sacrifice of a baby lamb by every family in the community of Israel. The blood of the lamb was to be smeared on door posts so that the lord would “pass over” these homes and they would remain free of the plague. Then the lamb was to be feasted upon and the mutilated flesh shared in celebration with neighbors. “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever” (Exodus 12:14). Scriptural barbarity.

So with a religion and culture drenched in the idiocy of scripture and the blood of non-human animals, even a requirement to continue the obscenities in perpetuity, it is no wonder that religion, and the sycophants that worship at the feet of an illusion, demands the corpses of millions of voiceless individuals unfortunate enough to find themselves at the mercy of civilized religious society.

And the arrogant and ignorant gather and tear the flesh from the corpses of the tortured non-humans who were subjected to a hell on earth to satisfy the anthropocentric delusions of a culture. Indeed, many christians argue that the murder of innocents is sacrosanct; an obligation to god almighty; a holy ritual beyond the judgment of mere mortals.

My fellow humans… so afraid of eternal damnation, they blindly follow the dictates of other humans in the context of an abomination called religion, every perversion justified through arbitrary verse.
You deserve eternal damnation for having the sheer audacity to subject billions of non-human individuals to a living hell on earth, as if your behavior were noble or righteous; a fine-tuned degeneracy that sucks in life, mutilates reason and compassion, and spits out death — a holocaust of unimaginable horror.
