[DC Vegan Examiner] November 5, 2010 Melisser Elliott is the creative writer behind the award-winning blog, The Urban Housewife and the founder of the popular all-vegan Sugar Beat Sweets bakery in San Francisco, CA. She's also the author of the newly-published book The Vegan Girl's Guide to Life, which is a fun and funky read for anyone interested in learning more about leading a more compassionate lifestyle. When Melisser is not blogging, baking, or writing books, she finds other creative ways to help animals.
