Duckumentary Artist Mira Tweti Invites You to Fantastic Los Angeles
Event Saturday Evening October 11.
WHO: Little Miss Dewie - a fabulous duck, and Mira Tweti, an
award-winning animal welfare journalist (Los Angeles Times, The New York
Times, LA Weekly and many other publications) who writes extensively on
avian issues.
WHAT: A benefit to raise completion funds for their avian-welfare film:
Little Miss Dewie: a Duckumentary (see the trailer at
www.ParrotPress.net , just click on Dewie). The film is about Tweti's
rescue of an orphaned duckling, she named Dewie and her two month search
to find Dewie a perfect home while living with a duck in a carpeted city
apartment.
WHEN: This Saturday, October 11th from 6:30 - 9:00 P.M. There will be
vegan delicacies, music, a silent auction, and of course, a screening of
the film. Suggested donation $15 but any amount will help and no one
will be turned away.

WHY: To educate the world that the needs of ducks (chickens) other birds
and animals, are just like ours: life, liberty and the pursuit of
happiness. Mira will be using this event to promote Prop 2 and encourage
everyone to vote YES on November 4th. She hopes to have 200 people come
