Scotlund was the head of HSUS' rescue operations and led several high-profile puppy mill raids and other rescues, until accepting the position of IDA president. I think we are already seeing an aggressive approach to animal activism from IDA–which has been an outstanding animal protection organization for many years under founder Elliot Katz, DVM.

Is there a more outspoken (or bombastic) mainstream media voice for animals than Jane Velez-Mitchell? I'm a fan.
